What makes us different is that each kayak rental will come equipped with a waterproof speaker for use during the duration of your rental. Each kayak will also automatically come with a cooler, with the optional add-on to have the cooler come filled with ice & refreshments. For all of your valuables, our kayaks are equipped with dry areas.

We are a mobile kayak service, so rentals are dropped off to and picked up from the location selected in your booking. We have included some preset locations that are popular in St. Pete, but if you have a desired location that is not listed on the site, please reach out to us prior to booking. 

We totally understand that things come up and plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before reserved rental time will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before reserved rental time will receive a 50% refund.
  • Exceptions:
    • Inclement Weather: If adverse weather conditions make kayaking unsafe, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Yes! We will supply life jackets for each person at the time of rental. 

At Golden Kayak Rentals, we're excited to provide you with the opportunity to combine kayaking and fishing on our Angler kayaks!

Here are a few things to note if you plan to fish:

• Compliance with Laws
  • It is crucial to familiarize yourself with the fishing regulations and laws applicable to the area. Florida has various rules regarding fishing seasons, catch limits, and permitted species. It's your responsibility to comply with these regulations.
• Fishing Licenses
  • Ensure that you possess a valid fishing license that covers the waters you'll be exploring. Having a valid fishing license demonstrates your commitment to responsible and legal angling. It's your responsibility to comply with licensing requirements in your area. 
• Gear Responsibility
  • Bring your own fishing equipment or rent from reputable sources. We do not provide fishing equipment for rent. Remember to secure your fishing equipment properly to prevent any loss during your kayaking excursion.
• Litter-Free Environment
  • Keep our waterways clean by disposing of trash and fishing-related waste properly. Please respect the environment and wildlife, and avoid leaving behind any litter. 

At Golden Kayak Rentals, we value punctuality and fairness to ensure that every customer has the best experience possible. If you find yourself running late for the scheduled return of your kayak, please adhere to the following late return policy:

• Notification: If you anticipate being unable to return your kayak on time, please notify us by text or call as soon as possible. You can reach us at 239-784-8597. 
• Late Return Fees: A late fee of $20 per hour will be applied for any kayak returned beyond the agreed-upon return time. This fee covers the inconvenience caused to our staff and potential disruption to other customers' reservations.
• Inclement Weather: In the event of adverse weather conditions that prevent you from safely returning on time, please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements. Safety is our top priority, and we'll work with you to find a suitable solution.

Definitely not! Our fleet of kayaks are intended for both beginners and seasoned paddlers. The wider shape allows for maximum control in various water conditions with high levels of stability.

Communication is the most important thing here. If you are running late to your rental, please send us a text or give us a call to let us know as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you, and you do not show up for your rental within 20 minutes of the start time, we will cancel your booking and a refund will not be provided.
